Leo Tolstoy on God

LEO TOLSTOY ON GOD: "When you look inside yourself, you see what is called 'your own self' or your soul. You cannot touch it or see it or understand it, but you know it is there. And this part of yourself--that which you cannot understand--is what is called God. God is both around us and inside of us--in our souls.

The more you understand that you are at one with God, the more you will understand that you are at one with all His worldly manifestations."

MESSAGES FROM THE COSMOS: US Presidential Elections 2012!

God always is sending messages to us.  From time to time, we may find messages in a bottle that have significance to us, or  in sacred literature, such as the Bible,  we find  something that touches us to the depths of  our soul. But the most direct way  God communicates with us is through  our intuition.

The reason we don't hear these messages is that  we simply don't listen.

The first part to listening is to pay attention.

When we do pay attention, it often is to the wrong things.

We see certain people rise to prominence, and we try to emulate them, not taking the time to examine what it is about these people that we want to copy.

Donald Trump displayed ugly and racist behavior throughout  the 2012 elections, when he continuously harassed the President of United States for his birth and education records.

Many times we're  blinded and impressed by those with lots of money, popularity and exterior attributes. We don't go much  beyond the surface of  these "attributions" to realize there may be little substance within.
We are witnesses to Donald Trump's lack of connection to his very Soul!

The money may have come from inherited wealth; the "success" from family and/or  other connections.  Yet, we keep on trying to emulate and imitate and aspire to reach these heights, sometimes at the price of our own Souls. Often we're imitating people with bankrupt Souls of their own.

On Nov. 6, we, as Americans, had a clear choices to make: follow blindly down the road of the rich where our good "trickles down" to us, or choose a path that would be for the good of all Americans, a path of  inclusion for all people.

The choice we had to make was between a very rich candidate and one who had risen from the ranks of the middle-class to become President of the United States.

We know who won. But we must fully examine the lessons Americans learned along the way in choosing the right person to lead our large, growing and diverse nation.

It is not enough to know that President Barack Obama, a Democrat,  represents the middle-class, the poor, the disabled and those who are unable to help themselves for whatever reason. It is not enough to simply know that Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate, represented the values of the rich and wanted to win to help their needs and causes.

We need to fully understand the messages sent from God, so we can avoid those same mistakes in
our own lives.

The lessons we need to have learned is that it is not enough to be rich for richness' sake; rather, if we should aspire to riches, it should be for "goodness' sake."

As you know, the losing candidate Mitt Romney, in addition to being born  into extreme wealth, also was  born into Mormonism. (I will not share LDS' teachings here, as there's plenty of public information available.)  It's enough to know, though, that somewhere in his upbringing,  Mitt Romney cultivated values that were against most of the people (99%) who occupy space in America with him. Most of Romney's fight during the recent elections was to preserve the rights of  few people:  the one percent  (1%) who should occupy little space but instead try to take up more space than all the rest of the people combined.

How does this 1% try to take up more space?

Through power! Through the misuse of their money.

We saw hundreds of millions of dollars spent by rich Republicans trying to unseat President Barack Obama.. False and malicious advertising, undertaken to attack Obama, went beyond any human decency and our very humanity. But it happened.

Why?

It happened because Republicans knew that millions of people in America can be influenced, as they operate fully unconsciously in life. Many do not seem to understand the gift of their lives and need to contribute to overall growth of humanity. They go about in insular worlds, where they believe it is okay to cut off the freedom of  people whose beliefs and ways in life differ from theirs.

Republicans this election year seemed more intent than any other time to take away the rights and freedom of choice of many people. They wanted  life for all to be the way they believe life should be.

Millions of people voted for Candidate Mitt Romney so he would go about implementing programs to cut benefits for many and limit the choices of  millions of Americans.

The reason President Obama won  was that many more millions of people felt in their Souls that the Republicans' way was destructive to all that the Cosmos intended for us all: freedom of choice and unity among various ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Millions felt the stark difference between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney in their Souls and voted accordingly. They knew our very humanity was at stake, as well as basic human decency and rights.

The American people made the right choice! We celebrate the re-election of President Barack Obama!

The elections are over and the "good guys won," but our work continues, both in the United States, and for each of us individually for the rest of our lives. In each moment of every day, there are messages emanating from within our Soul. We must heed those messages, and sometimes, warnings.

"There are three types of people. First, there are people who do not believe in anything; then, there are people who believe only in those teachings they were brought up to believe. Finally, there are people who believe in those things which they understand with their hearts, and this last group of people is the wisest and most resolute."-Leo Tolstoy

When in your Soul, you feel something is good or bad for you: Trust it!
When in your Heart, you feel something is good or bad for you: Know it!

The mind is the filter between what we know realistically to be true and what we feel intuitively is the TRUTH.  Don't let your mind fool you in making the wrong decision. When in doubt, through meditation and prayer, you will be guided to make the right choice.

God is a power of only good in the Universe. God, as Cosmic Consciousness, is omnipresent. He knows, sees and tries to tell us right from wrong. Our job on Earth is to discern the messages coming through our Soul.

Each generation on Earth seems to be given a charter by God to keep moving our humanity and decency along.  In the last two centuries, the charter was to end enslavement of blacks and to provide equal rights for women.

(To fully appreciate this struggle, I strongly recommend the recently released movie: Lincoln: http://www.fandango.com/lincoln_147748/movieoverview ). In this century, our charter is to go even deeper into our souls to ensure justice and freedom is provided for all  subgroups of people born different from the norm, and especially to lift homosexuality out of a closet of shame.  Slowly, the truth of Tut's Universe message to me on Nov. 9, 2012 becomes clear:

"Several upsides to having 7 billion people share the planet with you, Che', are that you get 7 billion more teachers, 7 billion more ways to fall in love, and 7 billion more versions of yourself. Aren't they all amazing?"

In these United States right now, the fight is still ongoing  to ensure that all people, regardless of race, color or creed, are treated with dignity and respect in their walk through life.

Are we listening or are we blocking God?

Five minutes a day of listening to your Soul, which is God's messenger, eventually will lead you, if diligent,  to 24 hours of continuous connection to and with The PRESENCE.*

Go slowly, if you must, but GO forward into your connection. You don't want to wait until you hit the later decades of life to figure out that you've had no clue about the purpose for  life or our humanity: It's not about your money; it's about your humanity! (Clearly, Mitt Romney comes to mind here.)

On Thursday, Nov. 22 as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, we need t o look around  at the beauty and vastness of the world, above, below and all around us, and say "Thank you, GOD! Thank you for the gift of life and the privilege of executing your will body by body, Soul by Soul. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to slowly awaken to your TRUTH!"

Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Namaste',
