At the beginning of a new year, we all make resolutions to do things differently in our lives. We may make resolutions to exercise, save more money, take more time for ourselves or even search for a new job. Why do we fail at these resolutions?
We do for several reasons, but the main one is that we are not truly focused on the intention to make a change and to live a better life.
This is the challenge we have in all areas of our lives: to stay focused on the "intention," despite the appearances and challenges to the contrary.
If we want change to happen and really intend to be different and do things differently, then GET truly focused from within.
Begin with a 10-30 minute session in the morning with YOURSELF. Whether you want to call this prayer or meditation, it's strictly up to you and your beliefs. The key is to SPEND TIME with Yourself...FOCUSED on yourself ...and where you INTEND to make a difference that day in your life.
Then, plan your day to reduce stress and frustation. For example, if you have a meeting at 2 p.m, and it's only a 15-minute drive away, give yourself at least 30 minutes to get there. Afterall, anything can happen "on the way."
If you INTEND TO EXERCISE...then plan that into your schedule.
If you INTEND TO BEGIN SAVING...then cut out the extra coffee or treats that day.
Day by day, step by step, intention by intention, you will see your life change. You WILL be renewed to wholeness.

Helping you to Return to the Wholeness that YOU ARE! Helping you to KNOW that the Spirit of God IS Within YOU!
Leo Tolstoy on God
LEO TOLSTOY ON GOD: "When you look inside yourself, you see what is called 'your own self' or your soul. You cannot touch it or see it or understand it, but you know it is there. And this part of yourself--that which you cannot understand--is what is called God. God is both around us and inside of us--in our souls.
The more you understand that you are at one with God, the more you will understand that you are at one with all His worldly manifestations."
The more you understand that you are at one with God, the more you will understand that you are at one with all His worldly manifestations."

Wholeness for EveryDay
Personal Authenticity: "To Thine Own Self Be True"...
"To Thine Own Self Be True and it must follow as the night, the day, Thou canst not then be false to ANY man."

I appreciate this message of intent and wanted you to know that this is helpful for me. I have always told my students "You are the only person with whom you will spend time with 24/7 or 365 days a year for the rest of your life. You are in control of your life and your life's choices therefore choose well"
What you have offered is a simplistic way of taking life one day at a time choosing to focus on our intentions in order to bring about positive permanent changes for our lives.
I needed this so much!
Thanks
Hi Che',
Thanks for sharing your wisdom. I find this to be true as YOU have to first be kind to yourself and love yourself in order to be kind to others and love others. Spending time with YOU is a good start...
Peace, Love & Abundant Blessings,
jeneen.
