Leo Tolstoy on God

LEO TOLSTOY ON GOD: "When you look inside yourself, you see what is called 'your own self' or your soul. You cannot touch it or see it or understand it, but you know it is there. And this part of yourself--that which you cannot understand--is what is called God. God is both around us and inside of us--in our souls.

The more you understand that you are at one with God, the more you will understand that you are at one with all His worldly manifestations."

It Only Took ONE MINUTE!

Whenever I've felt led to look back on the major decisions that I've made in my life, I realize that the ones I've seemingly really, really "screwed" up on had only taken one minute for me to decide.

Seems that I took major steps in my life without doing alot of
self examination, researching, and debating. I decided on
something and I ...just DID IT!

Of course, hindsight is 20/20.

Had I known what I know now, I certainly would not have taken
some of the steps that led me down a pathway of NO return.

One step led into an inevitable other.

Then, one day, I woke up...

and my world has changed!!!

I mean it has changed... down to the level of the people I enjoy hanging
with and calling friends.

It has changed down to the level of the things I find funny.

It has changed down to the activities I enjoy.

It has changed down to the way I make certain things a priority and other
things that once were highly important, "not even on my radar."

I mean...

my world has hugely changed.

I mean ...

I am hugely altered.

The thing is that as I look back...I want to feel REGRET!

I so much want to long with nostalgia for the things I once loved.

I so much want to miss the things I spent so much time planning and looking forward to doing.

I so much want to laugh the way I used to when I viewed certain things.

I so much want to miss that life!

When I look back...YES...I see that my world has been turned upside down...by a decision I'd made in...one minute.

Had I known.

Had I known!

Had I KNOWN!

Yes, I would not have stepped out into the void!

Yes, I would not have followed my heart...I would have debated and discussed and
looked for guidance from all those people...all those people...who KNOW...

Yes. I would have. I could have. I should have.

But ...

as I look back...

as I reflect back....

I always WOULD HAVE ...SHOULD HAVE...ALWAYS WILL...

follow my SOUL!

That's what I did...

in taking ONLY one minute to decide.

Yes, so much has changed by following my Soul.

So very, very much is altered...in my view of the world.

So very, very much has changed by taking that first step after I'd
made a one-minute decision...to follow my Soul.

Yet, I know...

that following my Soul is the only way to go...

into the Void.

Following my Soul...following YOUR Soul... is the only
way...

to grow through our limited, myopic view of the world.

Yes, it is an uncertain road, seemingly leading nowhere and
now HERE...

Yet, knowing what I know, as I look back.

I'd step out...

in that ONE Minute...

always honoring...always following my SOUL!

Maybe, someday, too, you will get a surprise that someone mistook
you for a Buddha and put your face on it!

Hey MADuke!
Thanks for the comment on my blog.
I'm sorry that you are now on "food stamps," as I know how VERY diligent you are! But know this: once you DECLARE that you DESERVE MORE AND IN THE FACE OF WHATEVER ADVERSITY, you hold to that TRUTH, you'll begin manifesting again!

Have you seen, "What the Bleep Do We Know?" That is a totally motivational documentary, now available on DVD, about putting "mind" over matter.

If you haven't yet seen it, I recommend it for you!

I'll keep you in my prayers.

Blessings,
Che'
